Winter Activities in the Grossarl Valley

The Grossarl valley also has much to offer off of the slopes. Fantastic cross-country trails, lovely winter lanscapes and a wide range of activities await you.

Cross-Country Skiing

The trail network in Grossarl extends over 30 km of well-groomed paths. The entire network is groomed in the classic style. In addition, many areas are also for skaters. There is also a 4km long high-altitude trail at the Saukaralm.

Snowshoeing

Take a walk with your snowshoes through the snow-covered landscapes of the region and discover the tranquility and splendor of a winter's day. This new craze is something very special for nature lovers. The areas in the Ellmau are particularly interesting for this sport.

Touring

Advent in the Grossarl region is a great way to start the Christmas season. Immerse yourself in the incredible winter mood, stroll through the narrow alleys of the Christmas market and get a sense of it all.

One can enjoy 35km of winter hiking trails in the surrounding area and enjoy the snow-covered landscape.

This isn't just for young couples! Wrap up in warm blankets and glide gently through the snowy winter landscapes with your family and friends. This is particularly great at night through the Huettschlag valley end.

Ice Skating

Those who enjoy ice skating have also come to the right place! The Grossarl rink is open daily from 10am to 9pm and can be used free of charge.

Curling

Curling has been a great sport to enjoy the outdoors for many years. The curling rink in Grossarl can be used daily by appointment. There is a 2.50 Euro fee for the pole rental.
